Asian share markets today witnessed big losses. China’s Shanghai Composite index and South Korea’s KOSPI, both plunged 2.6 percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng tumbled 1.8 percent, Japan’s NIKKEI-225 fell 1.7 percent and Singapore’s Straits Times slipped 1.3 percent.
European markets were mixed in intra-day trade. London’s FTSE 100 added 0.7 percent, France’s CAC climbed 1.1 percent while Germany’s DAX tumbled 3.8 percent.
