In a major blow, India’s wicketkeeper-batter, KL Rahul, has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2023 clashes against Pakistan and Nepal due to a minor niggle, as confirmed by the team’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, on Tuesday.
Despite this setback, Rahul’s recovery is progressing positively, and he is expected to make a return for India’s Super 4 matches in the continental cup.
“KL Rahul is progressing really well but will not be available for India’s first two matches – against Pakistan and Nepal – of the AsiaCup2023: Head Coach Rahul Dravid,” BCCI wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
