A 17 year old Arunachalee has been allegedly abducted by Chinese People’s Liberation Army on 18th of this month from Lungta Jor area under Siyungla area of Bishing village of Upper Siang district, in Arunachal Pradesh.
The boy was on a hunting expedition with his friend in the forest. The friend is reported to have escaped the Chinese army.
Arunachal East Member of Parliament Tapir Gao in a social media post had requested the Ministry of External Affairs and Home Ministry, Government of India to help in the youth’s early release.
The Indian army in a tweet has said that contacts have been made with the Chinese counterpart through hotline over the report of the alleged abduction. It said that assistance has been sought from PLA to locate and return the boy as per protocol.
