Not that the AirPods are affordable, but it could look that way with the launch of Apple’s next-gen AirPods. You may be aware that Apple is working on a new pair of AirPods truly wireless earphones that could come with noise cancellation. This was reported by Bloomberg to release in 2019. According to a brand new report, the new AirPods, which could be called AirPods Pro, will launch towards the end of October.
According to a report by the China Economic Daily, the AirPods Pro will be unveiled later this month with an expected price tag of over USD 260, which translates to around Rs 18,000. There’s no doubt that the AirPods Pro will be the most premium AirPods from Apple yet. As is the case with Pro models, the AirPods Pro will also tout some high-end features that won’t be found on the regular AirPods.
One of the most talked about new features is noise cancellation with the help of a new metal design. Additionally, the AirPods Pro earphones are also rumoured to come with water resistance. Apple may also improve the battery life and offer “Hey Siri” support, among other things.
Apple launched its second generation AirPods in India earlier this year priced at Rs 14,900. The new AirPods with a wireless charging case costs around Rs 18,900. There is no word yet on whether the AirPods Pro will launch in India.
