Uttar Pradesh: The farmers of Amethi protested against the lands occupied by Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
After the Land auction case, the Gauriganj SDM Court ordered to return the lands to UPSIDC, but the lands are still occupied by the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust.
The farmers protested in Gauriganj town in Amethi district on Wednesday demanding that either their land that was given to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation should be returned or else they are provided employment.
The Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited Amethi to campaign for the general elections and the farmers raised slogans as ‘Rahul go back to Italy, Rahul you grabbed our lands, Rahul don’t deserve to be in India.’
The Congress always says that farmer loans will be waived in all their elections and the protesters pointing this said waiving all the loans and grabbing all the lands is a mantra of Rahul.
Though the party announced Priyanka Vadra as a candidate for Amethi, opposition for Gandhis became very strong in UP and it will be tough for Congress.
