To celebrate 75 years of independence, ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ of independence will be organized across the country. The programs of Amrit Mahotsava will start from March 12 this year. Before 15 August 2022, the central government will organize it for 75 weeks. On 12 March, 91 years of the historic Salt Satyagraha led by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi are being completed.
National Implementation Committee constituted for Amrit Mahotsav
A National Implementation Committee has already been constituted to guide the programs organized by various ministries to commemorate the Amrit Mahotsav. In his address on Independence Day in the year 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that if every one of us, irrespective of where he is associated with, tries with a new resolve, new energy, new power, then we will In 2022, the 75th year of independence from collective power can change the landscape of the entire country. This India will be a new India – it will be a safe, prosperous and strong India.
The National Committee will include distinguished citizens from all fields other than Union Ministers
The government has constituted a national committee headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with 259 members, for which a gazetted notification has been issued. This national committee comprises dignitaries from all fields other than Union Ministers. The committee will provide policy directions and guidelines for the formulation of programs to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indian independence at national and international levels.
13 promises made in 2015-16 will be fulfilled
I would like to mention that on the path of speedy implementation, there are also 13 promises of the Budget 2015-16, which are to be fulfilled during the 75th year of independence of the country i.e., Amrit Mahotsav of 2022. All these promises are also in line with the vision of self-reliance.
Meeting held in Jammu and Kashmir for the preparations for the festival
The Deputy Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, chaired a high-level meeting on Friday related to the preparations for ‘Azad Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. Directing the administrative secretaries for the celebrations in the entire state with great enthusiasm, the Lt. Governor said that many memorable programs should be organized to start the program of Independence Amrit Mahotsav.
