Earlier today a high-level meeting with the Chief Secretaries of all the States and the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister was help. The decision to contain the spread of COVID-19 was unanimously agreed on. It was agreed to restrict movement of non-essential passenger transport including inter state buses till 31st March 2020. It was also agreed that all train services, local and sub- urban, inter-state and metros are to be suspended till 31st March. However, goods trains are exempted from this suspension allowing essential services to remain operational.
