In Cricket, India were 294 for 7 in their first innings against England at stumps on the second day in the fourth and final Test match at in Ahmedabad. Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant’s brilliant century of 101 from 118 balls gave India a solid lead against England.
The Hosts are now leading by 89 runs. Washington Sundar on 60 and Axar Narendra Modi Stadium Patel on 11 were at the crease when stumps were drawn this evening. Earlier, after resuming their play from the overnight score of 24 for one, India lost six wickets before the second day.
Top guns including Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane parted in quick succession Tea on and Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli were removed for duck. After the of departure Washington Sundar also registered a half-century. For the visitors, Rishabh Pant, James Anderson claimed 3 wickets while Ben Stokes and Jack Leach bagged two each. Earlier on the opening day, England were bowled out for 205 in their first innings.
