Adoption Of AI And 3D Is Needed To Make Success For Handicrafts From Rural Areas: Union Minister Giriraj Singh

Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh today said that his department has set a target of exporting handloom and handicrafts from the country to 60 thousand crore rupees. He said presently the volume of export of handloom and handicrafts is 45 thousand crore rupees, which is further needed to increase by promotion, monetary help, and training.

Addressing a function at Patna after the inauguration of the first office of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) at Upendra Maharathi Shilp Sansthan, he said to make success for handicrafts from rural areas, adoption of new technologies like AI and 3D is needed. He said we have to increase the number of GI-certified products if we have to increase the export of products of artisans.
