The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad today arrested activist Teesta Setalvad from her residence in Mumbai. She was arrested in a case related to her NGO and foreign funds. Setalvad was taken to Santacruz Police Station in Mumbai.
The Crime Branch of Ahmedabad Police has filed an FIR against Teesta, former IPS R. B. Sreekumar, and Sanjeev Bhat. They have been booked under different sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
