A new variety of mango will soon hit the markets this summer. The new mango variety has been named after Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The mango has been named after Amit Shah by mango grower Haji Kalimullah who is popularly known as the Mango Man.
Indian horticulturist Haji Kalimullah said that he has been impressed by the personality of Amit Shah “who possesses the ability to weave the social fabric and bring people on to one platform”, according to an Indian Express report.
The Mango Man said that the new variety of the mango will be “good in weight and taste” and will be called “Shah” mango. According to the report, the new mango is ready and will hit the market in the coming days this summer.
Haji Kalimullah has his orchards in the mango belt of Malihabad on the outskirts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Well, Amit Shah is getting a mango named after him now but Prime Minister Narendra Modi already has a mango named after him. Haji Kalimullah said he was glad to hear in a recent interview of the Narendra Modi that he likes to eat mangoes, according to the report.
