The 11th International Day of Yoga is being observed with great enthusiasm in Bihar’s capital Patna and across the state. The main official function was organised by the Health Department and Ayush at Pataliputra Sports Complex, Kankarbagh in Patna. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha attended the event. On the occasion the Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Choudhary highlighted the importance of Yoga in daily life and appealed to adopt Yoga for a healthy life.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, former union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Ram Kripal Yadav and several other dignitaries attended the International Day of Yoga. Due to heavy rainfall across the state the Yoga related activities and functions were mostly organized indoors. A special function was organised at Bihar School of Yoga, Munger. Students of government and private school and other higher educational institutions also observed International Day of Yoga under the guidance of experts and tutors at their institutions.
