Weekend curfew lifted in Ukraine, Indian Embassy advises students to make their way to the railway station

Weekend curfew has been lifted in Ukraine’s Kyiv. Indian Embassy in Kyiv has advised all students to make their way to the railway station for onward journey to the western parts. In an advisory, the Embassy said that Ukraine Railways is putting special trains for evacuations. It requested all Indian nationals and students to remain calm, peaceful and united. Indian students have been advised to remain patient, composed and not exhibit aggressive behavior while at the railway stations. The Embassy said delays in trains’ schedule, even cancellation at times and long queues are expected. Indian students have been requested to carry their passport, sufficient cash, ready to eat meals, easy accessible winter clothing and only essential items, to ensure easy mobility.

The Embassy said Ukrainians, both civilians and authorities, have been remarkably supportive in facilitating evacuation efforts of Indian citizens. It asked Indian students to respect this sentiments.
