In Uttar Pradesh, multiplex cinema halls, gyms, and sports stadiums will be allowed to operate in compliance with the Covid protocol from 5 July. In a meeting with top officials of state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the business of cinema hall operators has been affected due to Covid and their needs and problems should be considered sympathetically.
The detailed guidelines in this regard will be issued later. Meanwhile more than 2.5 lakh Covid tests are being done every day in the state while the positivity rate has come down to less than one percent. In the last 24 hours only 133 new cases of infection have come, while 228 patients have recovered after getting treatment. So far, more than around 5.83 crore tests have been done in the state.
