President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday inaugurated the world’s largest cricket stadium ‘Narendra Modi Stadium’ in Motera, Gujarat. The stadium has a seating capacity of about 1.10 lakh people simultaneously. During this, President Kovind also performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave. Let me tell you that this is a part of the stadium sports enclave. The third Test match between India and England is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium from today.
Home Minister Amit Shah and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju were also present during the program. Sports Minister Kiren Rijinu said during this time that this stadium is the first modern stadium of the 21st century.

There will also be a arrangement for the coach of the players and 3000 players can also take training of different sports here. For this type of arrangement, construction and starting of Bhoomi Pujan has been done today.
Sports complex to be built on 233 acres of land
The Home Minister said that the total sports complex will be built on 233 acres of land. With this a new 18-acre sports complex will be built in Narayanpura. The sports complex to be built at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave, Narendra Modi Stadium and Narayanpura will be arranged at the same place in the same city to play all the international games in any international event.
He also said that any international sports event has to be organized on a total of 233 acres of land, including the area of the three, whether it is to conduct the Commonwealth Games, whether to play Asiad or whether to do Olympics, Ahmedabad will be ready in 6 months. A type of sports infrastructure has started to build here.
Ahmedabad will be known as Sports City in India
With the creation of sports infrastructure, Ahmedabad will be known as Sports City in India. PM Modi had this dream when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Amit Shah informed that more than 650 schools will be connected to the Narendra Modi Stadium. Amit Shah said that Sardar Patel’s name will remain immortal for ages. It is a remarkably pleasant coincidence that my predecessor, the then President Giani Zail Singh, came here at the inauguration of the construction of the first cricket stadium built in Motera nearly four decades ago.
