A revolutionary balladeer and lyricist, Vangapandu Prasada Rao passed away in the early hours today at his residence in Parvathipuram, Vizianagaram District of Andhra Pradesh.
Vangapandu tried to portray the inequalities in society and voiced the backward condition of North Coastal Andhra. He mostly enacted his folk songs as Street Plays.
He penned and enacted in several folk songs in several Telugu films and worked as lyricist for Ardharatri Swatantram, Poru Telangana and Rythu Rajyam.
