Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr.K Sudhakar has said that the State will soon conduct one lakh COVID tests per day. Inaugurating a molecular lab in Hoskote today, he said in just six months, the State has opened 108 new COVID testing labs and the tests have increased from 300 per day to about 75,000 tests.
He further added that the death rate in the State has been 1.65 per cent and efforts are on to bring it down to less than one per cent.
He felt a need to conduct a study of the medical education system in developed nations to improve the quality of the medical education system in the country.
He also suggested that medical students should be sent to clinical expo abroad for exposure to new findings and practices in the field of medicine.
