Indian athletes clinch 12 medals at 13th South Asian Games today

India clinched 12 medals including 2 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze in athletics at 13th South Asian Games in Nepal today.

In men’s shot put Tajinder Pal Singh grabbed gold and Om Prakash Singh won silver. In women’s section, Abha Khatua clinched gold and Kachnar Chauba begged bronze.

In 4×100 meter relay, Indian men and women won silver each. In men’s 400 meter hurdle Jabir Madari won silver and Santosh Kumar bronze. In women’s category Veerpal Kaur begged bronze.

In women’s 5000-meter sprint Parul Chaudhary won silver medal and Priti Lamba got bronze. In the men’s category, Sunil Dawar clinches silver. On the 6th day of games, India is on top with 136 medals comprising 64 gold, 47 silver and 25 bronze.
