It was one of the in-conversations sessions which saw the participation of John Bailey, the chairman of the International Jury of the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and his wife and an eminent film editor Carol Littleton. The session was an eye-opener for the audience who came got insights on cinematography and editing.
Talking to AIR about this year’s IFFI, he said, there were range of films and the awards that will reflect the wide diversity of genre of films. Giving a piece of advice to youth who want to be associated with film making Bailey stressed that from the beginning of one’s career whether he or she is a production designer, editor, cinematographer, the person should work on films that are important which have good characters and have dramatic relationship. He said one who wants to become a professional should not just look for a job and take up insignificant jobs.
