Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is an Indian politician and former Olympian. Rathore is a Member of Parliament (MP) from Jaipur Rural seat. As of October 2018, he is the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in the Government of India.
A website named ‘ThePrint.in’ recently published an article stating that The Narendra Modi government has tasked its chief communication arm to step up monitoring of social, digital as well as traditional media and flag “negative publicity” of the PMO and other crucial ministries, just months before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
It also written as the Press Information Bureau (PIB), its official communication arm, floated a tender last month, inviting proposals from external agencies for “media aggregation, analysis and feedback services” with regard to print, electronic, online and social media.
Rajyavardhan Rathore on his twitter page posted a video regarding his reply towards Theprint’s article.

He said that the article misleading the actual cause of the Government’s tender towards an external agency for Media.
He also questioned ‘Dear Shekher Gupta, are you not using Social Media to publish are promote your own Media news?’ and more over, Social Media platform became a very mandatory one for each and every individual in the World and the Government creating a separate group to monitor the necessity of public and to publish Government schemes on digital platforms.
He ended up saying ‘if Government does anything, you media will say why Government doing this? And if Government not doing anything, then again, you will also say why the Government not doing this?’.
