A total of five thousand 601 instances of ceasefire violations were reported along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir within a span of two years. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said, troops deployed on forward posts enjoy complete freedom of action in responding to Pakistan Cease Fire Violations. He said, substantial damage was inflicted on Pakistan posts and personnel during retaliation by the Indian Army.
