In Assam, the 21st Convocation of the Tezpur University will be held today to confer Degrees and Diplomas to 1,355 successful candidates. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will attend the convocation as the Chief Guest. Mr. Singh will also present a gold medal to 46 deserving candidates of the university.
Apart from its academic routine Tezpur University is also involved in training the Indian Army personnel in Chinese Language. In April this year, the University inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the army to offer their personnel a basic course in Chinese language to develop essential language skills.
