12 killed in train collision in Bangladesh

12 persons were killed and many others injured in a train accident in Bangladesh early morning on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at Mondobhag Railway Station in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria where two intercity trains Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet and Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram collided head-on around 3 in the morning on Tuesday.

The local police said that eight bodies have been recovered from the spot and the rescue operation is on. Many other people are still trapped and the final death figure may rise further.
