Kamdhenu Deepawali to promote Cow Entrepreneurship & Cow based Panchgavya products

The Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog launched the Kamdhenu Deepawali 2021 campaign on 3 October 2021 to promote the economic use of Cow Dung and Cow Urine too along with its other day-to-day products like Milk, Curd, Ghee, etc.

The aim of this campaign is to manufacture and market more than 100 Crore Cow dung based Deepak lamps and Laxmi-Ganesh Idols.

Eco friendly alternatives to celebrate a sustainable Deepawali

Under the Kamdhenu Deepawali 2021 campaign, more than 300 items are being created by Panchgavya from Cow including Deepak, Lamps, Candles, Sambrani cup, Havansamagri, Dhoopbatti, incense sticks, Hardboard, Wall piece, Laxmi-Ganesh idols etc made up of Cow dung.

The Gomaya lamps being manufactured by Cow Entrepreneurs and Cow owners support the cause of sustainable Diwali by providing eco-friendly alternative to chemical based Chinese lights.

In fact, last year under the aegis of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog, Crores of Cow dung Deepak, lamps were manufactured across India wherein the it provided training along with many Volunteer organisations across India.

This initiative in turn has propelled the growth of a large number of Cow dung based Start Ups across the nation. The campaign this year is committed to take this initiative to higher levels. Providing an eco-friendly alternatives to chemical-based Chinese lights.

Cow Entrepreneurs to receive major benefits

In line with Prime Minister’s vision of ‘StartUp India’ & ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat,’ the Kamdhenu Deepawali 2021 will provide direct benefit to the cow entrepreneurs of India. This Eco friendly campaign will also help Gaushalas to become Self Sustainable.

Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, former Cabinet Minister and former Chairman of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog says that the organisation has successfully generated interest of farmers, unemployed, Self Help Groups, Youth and Women entrepreneurs in Cow dung based Start Ups through various National campaigns.
In a National Webinar organised by the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog in the attendence of Minister of Fisheries & Animal Husbandry Parushottam Rupala, various young entrepreneurs shared their stories of success and growth by developing Cow dung based Start Ups.

Neeraj Chowdhary, a young Entreprenur from Uttarakhand demonstrated how to make Cow dung based lamps and Laxmi Ganesh idols within minute in the national webinar. The entrepreneur exhibited wide range of Cow dung based products and also talked about the training program that his organization is providing for Cow dung based products.

The Minister of Fisheries & Animal Husbandry said that a plan is in process to replace wooden logs used during death rites with logs made of Cow dung. The Minister further informed that Ministry is working on adding Cows in every Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) across India and create Demonstration unit as well as Training centre for Cow Entrepreneurship.

The Kamdhenu Deepawali 2021 campaign will usher growth in three ways;

First, it promotes India’s objective of ‘Vocal for Local’ with the production of indegenous products
Second, it creates entrepreneurship avenues with upcoming Startups; and
Third, it provides Eco friendly alternatives to celebrate a auspicious occasion of Diwali in sustainable ways.
