Market Close: The benchmark indices ended lower in the volatile trading on May 15 with Nifty closed below 11,200 mark.

At close, the Sensex was down 203.65 points at 37,114.88, while Nifty was down 65 points at 11,157. About 982 shares have advanced, 1544 shares declined, and 176 shares are unchanged.

Yes Bank, Tata Motors, Zee Entertainment, JSW Steel and Gail were the top losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Bajaj Finance, Eicher Motors, UPL, IOC and Indiabulls Housing.

Among the sectors, metal index slipped 2 percent followed by auto, infra, pharma, FMCG and bank.

Welspun Enterprises Q4: Consolidated net profit up 17.3% at Rs 29.6 crore, revenue up 78.9% at Rs 725.1 crore, YoY.

Wonderla Holidays Q4 result: Net profit at Rs 7 crore against Rs 3.7 crore, revenue up 10.4% at Rs 60.6 crore versus Rs 55 crore, YoY.

Maharashtra Scooters Q4: Net profit down 48.5% at Rs 0.7 crore versus Rs 1.4 crore, revenue up 6.3% at Rs 3.4 crore versus Rs 3.2 crore, YoY.

Rupee Update: The Indian rupee is trading higher by 21 paise at 70.23 per dollar versus previous close 70.44.

Newgen Software Q4: Consolidated net profit at Rs 62.5 crore against Rs 18 crore, revenue up 27% at Rs 204 crore versus Rs 160.5 crore, QoQ.

Jubilant Foodworks has reported 8.6 percent jump in its fourth quarter (Q4FY19) net profit at Rs 73.9 crore. Revenue of the company rose 11 percent at Rs 865 crore against Rs 780 crore.

PSU banks were trading in the negative, down 1.29 percent on Nifty. Union Bank of India was the biggest loser, down 9.39 percent, while Jammu & Kashmir Bank was the biggest gainer, adding 2.67 percent on Nifty

Market Update: Sensex is up 102.03 points or 0.27 percent at 37,420.56. Nifty is up 19 points or 0.17 percent at 11,241. About 1134 shares have advanced, 1086 shares have declined, and 148 shares are unchanged.

Bajaj Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra and Eicher Motors were among top gainers. Yes Bank, Tata Motors and Zee Entertainment were among the biggest losers.

As for sectoral indices, All except Media, Metal and PSU banks were in the green. Media is the biggest loser, down 3.19 percent, while Financial Services were the biggest gainer, up 0.51 percent.

Media stocks were trading in the red today, down 2.05 percent on Nifty. Zee Media was the biggest loser down 6.16 percent, followed by Zee Entertainment down 5.92 percent on Nifty. Navneet Education was the top gainer, up 1.03 percent on Nifty.

Buzzing: Shares of Jet Airways was down more than 4 percent intraday on May 15 after falling to a 52-week low of Rs 121.10 in the morning session.
