78.36% polling recorded in 5th phase of Assembly Elections in West Bengal

Election Commission has said that 78.36 per cent polling has been recorded in the 5th phase of Assembly Elections in West Bengal held today.
It said, polling in 15 thousand 789 Polling Stations spread across 45 Assembly Constituencies in West Bengal, Bye-Election in Belgaum and Tirupati Parliamentary Constituencies and 12 Assembly Constituencies across 10 States conducted peacefully today.
The poll body said, over 8 thousand polling stations in West Bengal were monitored live through webcasting.
It said, there was huge turnout of Women Voters today. The Commission thanked voters for strictly following COVID protocols.
